Crux - Julie Reece The main girl, Birdie, is given an ultra-cool quest involving an amulet, a mystical war and tonnes of cash. She's smart, witty, funny, nice and really down to Earth. You can just imagine her giving the other snotty witches the look when she walks in the room:

And there's this guy called Grey - and as soon as you read his description, you're all:

And even though she has next to nothing to do with the main plot, this random girl - Izzy - torments Birdie constantly because she's totally gonna end up with Grey (who plays guitar btw). She's all "I'm always gonna be here for Grey, BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH! Take THAT!"

God forbid there be more to life than boys, hon. Because...I don't know...there might be a WORLD TO SAVE, and people's lives may BE AT RISK - and whilst Birdie is kicking ass, dealing with her past and trying to make sure justice is served, all this weirdo cares about is who she's gonna bring to Homecoming. Figures. :D

But of course - even with all the kick-ass action - comes the cute and adorable relationship that is Greydie or Brey!! THEY ARE TOO CUTE FOR WORDS WHEN THEY'RE TOGETHER!!!

A MUST read, that's a mix of Tiger's Curse, Alex Rider and Lola and the Boy Next Door. Pure epicness.
